It is for Levin, too. That quote is wildly out of context. Levin's point was we already know about Chevron and other regulatory matters because K's written a lot of opinions and the DC Court handles many such cases. We also know about his "assault" weapons position. But there's a lot that we don't know, and towards what we don't know is where the intelligent questions should go.

Nobody is perfect, and that includes Mark Levin, and Brett Kavanaugh. All humans make mistakes. I think Gorsuch made a big one on one of his recent rulings - can’t remember what it was at the moment. The justices will make some good decisions and some not so good. However, the 4 libs on the court never make good decisions. They have a mental illness.

Wasn't done by Kavanaugh, it was done by the administration, which put on a full-court press on his behalf with conservative media.

Levin's take on Kavanaugh was altogether reasonable. Let's see how the questions go in his hearings.

That is actually one of the things I like very much about Kavanaugh. He may have been wrong on the plenary power to tax which lead to Roberts' betrayal on 0bamacare, but the CFPB was--and remains--clearly unconstitutional.

Warren constructed it in that way to have the reach of a Cabinet level Department, beyond the reach of the President. [Before running for Senate, she clearly thought she was going to be appointed to that job, but in a rare display of backbone Republicans nixed her appointment.]

The CFPB needs to be destroyed.

This is the case you're thinking of, and I agree with you that Gorsuch was mistaken: https://nypost.com/2018/04/17/gorsuch-sides-with-liberal-justices-in-supreme-court-immigration-vote/.

He is a textualist, and believes the law needs to be well defined. Nothing wrong with that, but contrary to claims, the position he took was not the same as the position taken by Scalia in a similar case, where the reasoning was different.

Levin seems to have gone off the cliff again.

The nominee has made over 300 rulings on the DC Circuit Court that reveal his views. Is Levin too lazy to read?

I agree. But the reasoning he demonstrated give reason for concern

I apologize to you and all readers for the typos in my previous reply. I really did spell check it and as often happens because of poor eyesight, the post still ended up with typos. Sigh.

Nope. Not my opinion. Listen to his program. He takes Trump's side far more often than not, and unlike the #NeverTrumpers, he doesn't take random shots, nor does he ever give cover to the left for taking shots at Trump.

You don't have to believe me. Both recordings and transcripts of his shows are freely available.

“He preferred Cruz but in the end supported Trump. He’s NOT a NeverTrumper. And he IS your intellectual superior (mine too). “

Levin is an anti-Trumper. He has only given Trump very weak support since his radio show took a nose dive as people fled his anti-Trump rantings.

He’s about as intellectual as an liberal. It takes a moron to think all those nasty unsubstantiated things of Trump that Level said about him.

“...and cares too much about getting invited to all the right Washington parties.”

My thinking on that is if he’s already a DC resident and has still remained a Constitutionalist he likely will remain so.

Yup. If Levin had his druthers we’d be seeing Hillary making these SCOTUS picks because supposedly that would lead to a 2020 “conservative revolution” led by Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.

Levin and his ilk are forever tainted by that horrible anti American traitorous lack of judgment and patriotism and in my view are forever condemned to the sidelines. Useless

Levin's take on Kavanaugh was altogether reasonable.

Levin's take on Kavanaugh is that since he isn't Mike Lee, he's not an acceptable pick for the Supreme Court.

Levin is a GOPe guy.. and now lives in the beltway... I wouldn’t dismiss his concerns outright, but he’s clearly connected to the old guard.

He’s a good source, particularly in matters of the law, far more informed and knowledgeable than any other conservative talking head in syndication.

Doesn’t mean he fully gets the electorate, he doesn’t. He’s definitely of the GOPe world view.
