Globalism harmed? Well, then, it’s been a good day!
China is beginning to squeal...
We are China's biggest buyers of stuff; however, we CAN buy from other nations, should China decide to not tamp down their ridiculous tariffs against our stuff. And a LOT of China's economy is really just a smoke & mirrors hoax.
yeah!
Boo-hoo. They’re upset that we finally have a president that isn’t afraid to tell them what cheaters they are. If my customer was buying $570 Billion more from me than I was buying from him, I would treat him better. It’s high time China starts showing us some respect.

“Cooperation”. I know what that means when China says it.
Certain FReepers saddened.
“The Ministry of Commerces Li Chenggang said the only correct choice for China-U.S. relations was cooperation.”
Will Chenggang take his own advice?
China commerce ministry official says new U.S. tariff plan harms WTO system, globalization

Well...gee Wally, we never thought that would happen. /s
Excellent, I think we should raise the tariff!
Paraphrasing DJT, if the tariffs are already skewed in favor of the chinese, then what is the harm of leveling the field?
Corlect!
China has a bit of a problem on its hands.
We import a lot of its goods.
It imports a lot less of ours. Hence the massive trade deficit.
Good luck hurting us as much a were gonna hurt you.
Fair trade would go a long way China.
Give it some thought.
“...harms WTO system, globalization,” you say? LOL! That’s like saying that the tariffs harm the chances of a worldwide communist government.
He says that like it's a bad thing.
China has never been a trading nation, they are a selling nation
And yet, China has tariffs, and they are not seen as harming the WTO. Also, if China implements retaliatory tariffs, are they too not harming the WTO? Why is it only US tariffs are bad, but the rest of the world gets a pass?
