Canada is a tough one, and I am of course Canadian. Never understood the knee jerk anti-Americanism of most Canadians - it is really petty and frankly quite bigoted. Not enough of us appreciate the advantage we have being next to the US. We need a statesman, like we had in Harper, but don’t have it now. Canada, and most don’t know this, is deep up to its armpits in Chinese infiltration. The Liberal Party has deep ties to the Chicoms, and the spy network and industrial espionage is like no other here. So that contributes somewhat to political belligerence towards the US.

You are probably correct about the CHICOMS but Canada's animosity for The USA started with the Vietnam war.

Also what most Canadians don't understand( or refuse to realise) is that the United States acts as a safety buffer between Canada and Mexico. Just the number of illegals entering the USA from Mexico ( which include Mexicans, Central Americans and a growing number of illegals from Muslim Countries), during the 8 years of the OBAMA Administration could overrun Canada. In a few years the average Canadian would not recognize their own country. You are not dealing with it because we are.

Peace and wellness for you and your family.
