Byron York: Mueller reveals tenuous link between Manafort charges and Trump

It's often been observed that special counsel Robert Mueller, assigned to investigate alleged Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign, has yet to charge anyone with a crime involving Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign.

The biggest of Mueller's indictments, that of one-time Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, has no connection at all to collusion. And until a few days ago, it appeared to have no connection to Donald Trump, either.

Now, though, Mueller has revealed why he believes the Manafort prosecution is related to the 2016 Trump campaign. It's a small part, a very small part, of the overall charges against Manafort. And it has nothing to do with any actions by the candidate – now the president – himself.

Mueller is a dirtbag of long standing. You watch, he’ll pull some stunt in October in an attempt to influence the midterms.

If you’ve got anything, mueller.. show it!! otherwise I hope you get the book thrown at you for putting this country through such an absolute mess... and what you are doing to our President!.. it’s illegal and trying to steal an election is also illegal. No wonder hillary didn’t campaign and sat at home.. when she was out, you had to prop her up.. just to get that power seat “the President”... so you could continue in your destruction of our country.

What a mess you have brought.. and it will not go down without taking you with it!

holycrap...

While working for the campaign he applied for some loans, and a person involved liked Trump and “wanted to be part of the campaign” helped approve the loans...

THE HORRORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone can skip to the last line

In any event, Mueller has not suggested that Donald Trump was involved in any of the actions outlined in the Manafort charges.

LBJ’s justice dept approved a bank merger in exchange for a signed letter from the Houston Comical that they would not criticize his administration. It came to light in the 1990s with the release of his White House tapes.

But he wants to make sure that he can say in court that some of these personal loans happened when Manafort worked for Trump so the ulta-liberal jury will say ‘wait, Trump? Hang him!’

The only fitting surprise would be indictments against Obama, Clinton, Lynch, Comey, Mueller et al.

But with Sessions and Rosenstein at the DOJ - that ain’t gonna happen.

Hell, Trump can’t even get Rosenweasel to comply with a House order to turn over documents.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/whats-next-for-rosenstein-if-he-wont-release-clinton-docs

There is no way he could force the DOJ/FBI to do ANYTHING they don’t want to do.

let me see if I got this right:

understating income on loan app
loan officer approves loan anyway
loan officer wants job in campaign

does this sound more like white water the house deal in Chappaqua ny?

except david hale, jim mcdougal, mochtar riady, or terry mccauliffe never got stuck in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day without going to court.

Am i corrrct to say what mueller did to get cohens records.,was illegal?.
If.. a big if.. he were to find anything, and used it against Trump, it would be illegal? However, who would stop him.
Is our judicial system all shot to hell?..is there no balm in gilead?

OK so if this is the “reason Manaford is being held in solitary confinement and denied bail prior to trial, then it is clear that Mueller has nothing on Trump.

“...”The government intends to present evidence that although various Lender D employees identified serious issues with the defendant's loan application, the senior executive at Lender D interceded in the process and approved the loan. During the loan application process, the senior executive expressed interest in working on the Trump campaign, told the defendant about his interest, and eventually secured a position advising the Trump campaign. The senior executive later expressed an interest in serving in the administration of President Trump, but did not secure such a position.”....”

So shouldn't Mueller being going after Lender D executive and not Mannaford?
