I always hope and pray the smart and well informed people like you on FR are right and I’m wrong in saying the MSM does influence average people. I never watch (except the repeats of the YouTube election night sobbing anchors clips which are great).
If I’m wrong, why is only Roe v.Wade (selected by the media) the topic for pro or con in discussions of Kavanaugh. He’s done dozens of decisions and statements on dozens of legal matters. The MSM chose abortion as THEIR favorite topic.
Before that: children torn from mothers at border. The MSM chosen topic and had to be defended day and night by Trump.
Reminds me of the Trump book line: Never let your enemy define you.

I base my opinion on the number of hot topics the dogs of the press have bayed and chased related to POTUS and the number of talking points that have been abandoned. The Press is selecting Roe Wade because it excites their base. They need to look like they are putting up a good fight or they will have even heavier losses at midterms. Betting is that Kavanaugh will be confirmed. The Left can bay but they don’t have the votes to interfere.
As far as the border separations, Hollywood liked that issue, it allowed them to look & feel noble. POTUS is following the law. The outcry helps our side.
The Left looks like wackos wanting to disband ICE. Obama’s administration also separated children and gave them back to felons and traffickers. POTUS has DNA testing and has already found ringers and abusers who will not be getting control of the children they brought across the border.
The MSM outcry over this issue has allowed POTUS to state that “the solution to separation is not to come into the USA illegally”. The chorus of voices crying for immigration reform is swelling as the public becomes aware. POTUS is using the MSM talking points to advance his agenda and to destroy the MSM & Obama administration brands.
