I used to buy tickets to the Asheville Tourists baseball games. They were the Orioles for a while then back to the Tourists.
It was a cheap date. 75 cents each. Buy a program for a dollar and you had about a 50/50 chance of winning a door prize. It was good baseball and a lot more fun than the majors.
Asheville Tourists? We went to a game, a few years ago, and I was totally confused... The game was won in the last inning by a walk off home run. Great game for the home team. What really screwed up my brain was the scoreboard.
It listed the teams as: VISITORS with TOURISTS the home team...
Damn, I was messed up the whole game!
