The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, said Wednesday that Republicans recently were forced to call in U.S. Marshals to serve former FBI lawyer Lisa Page with a subpoena to testify before Congress, as he accused Page of “apparently” having “something to hide.”
The revelation came after Page’s lawyer claimed she “will cooperate with this investigation,” even as Page defied that subpoena to appear on Wednesday before the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform Committees.
Lawmakers want to question Page about her anti-Trump texts with FBI agent Peter Strzok, with whom she was having an affair.
Goodlatte told Fox News that Page’s attorney initially agreed to accept service of the subpoena for Page, but “then turned around and immediately tried to reject it."
"So that's why we sent the marshals to her house, to serve the subpoena,” the Virginia Republican said. “They had to go back three times before they were finally able to reach her."
Attorney Amy Jeffress told Fox News that Page would not appear on Capitol Hill on Wednesday because they did not have enough time to prepare. She said they would lawmakers to schedule another date for the closed-door interview.
President Trump lashed out at Page in a tweet on Wednesday evening, accusing her of aiding a “rigged witch hunt” at the FBI against him.
“Ex-FBI LAYER Lisa Page today defied a House of Representatives issued Subpoena to testify before Congress! Wow, but is anybody really surprised!” Trump tweeted. “Together with her lover, FBI Agent Peter Strzok, she worked on the Rigged Witch Hunt, perhaps the most tainted and corrupt case EVER!”

And Strzok wants his transcripts released to the public. Nope, nope, nope. He wants to make sure she says exactly what he said. Isn’t that illegal, letting your co-conspirator know exactly what you said so she says the same thing?
How exactly do we know Page and Strzok were having an affair? Their communications seemed to be about mutual Trump hate. No even oblique references to sex or romance. Has either admitted it otherwise?
IIRC it was a joke in a Nicolas Cage movie called called The Family Man. Tea Leoni’s character is talking about her daughter’s school report on What My Mommy Does and says ‘she wrote “my mommy is a pro bono layer”’ as Leoni cracks up. It was a funny line then, still funny now.

They said early on that they sorted out the texts that appeared to be of an intimate personal nature.
Of course if that’s FBI policy, wouldn’t criminals simply code their communications to sound like pillow talk knowing the hornier the communications the more off limits to investigators they will be?
Code for hitman is “masseuse.” A handgun is a “dildo” ... an assault rifle is “black dildo”... a bribe is “box of chocolates” … setup is “date”... cover-up is “sheets”... “memory card, etc” is “mint”.... prearranged drop off point is “pillow.” You’re being watched is “you are SO hot,” while we’re being watched is “dog’s in the bedroom,” … a leak to the press is “blow job”... and ...toss the evidence is “just lick it,” and so on...
What she meant was, “Potus wants to know if were doing everything he wants us to be doing”.
Both of them are despicable. The smirk on Strzok’s face when he was at Congress was unforgivable. Lock them up!!
