The Chinese Communists are the number one force in corrupting Government officials around the world - by far.
It has been central to their strategy and practices for decades. They bought the Clintons back in the 1990’s (if not earlier). There is virtually no country on Earth that does not Government officials taking Chinese money.
In their model, the top politicians become billionaires, and their equivalent of Congressman (Reps in the Great Hall of the People’s Deputies) average around $100 million net worth - all from corruption and abuse of office.
I say use an American hotel if you have to go to communist China, but even better, go somewhere else until the trade war is settled, or the oppressive communist regime has been replaced, and the Chinese people freed.
I'd say the Saudis are neck-and-neck with them - and probably more influential in the USA, since China prefers to buy Third World politicians because they have a better likelihood of staying bought. :)
