In my view, the Democrats were forced to run a corrupt and criminal Hillary Clinton who was an obvious target for hacking by foreign intelligence and other foreign actors. It was an obvious treasure trove of dirty linen and smelly stink bombs.
Other election systems and campaign systems were also poorly created and obvious targets for infiltration just for the sport of it.
As Bill Clinton famously admitted when asked why he diddled Monica Lewinsky in the White House — “Because I could.””
Being corrupt and criminal, the leftists upon seeing the hacking decided that others must be what they know they are: criminal. Therefore they leap to the conclusion that the Trump campaign directed or coordinated with Russian hackers because that was the sort of stuff that they, the leftists, were doing where they could. Now the indictments have come out on the Russians and no Americans are named. None are even called co-consirators in these indictments.
Uh, they just fingered about a dozen GRU... Just because the Dems play election tricks doesn't mean all other actors re excluded. There were likely a bunch of European and Middle Eastern countries, companies and NGOs trying to pull the same crap... plant stories and stoke squabbles hoping to swing things.
