If you you read the indictment, it explains how the DNC and DCCC got hacked. They didn’t go into great detail, but enough to satisfy my curoisity. If you read between the lines they were able to analyse network equipment and other computer logs. The hackers were inside the organizations for quite some time. It took some time to hack the DNC Exchange server.

If they are really saying that, then they are clearly lying to the public and hoping that most people do not understand this.
