Jennifer Arangio is the Director of Command Policy Group. Ms. Arangio has 19 years of experience in the homeland security, legal, and political fields. As former Senior Counsel to the Committee on Homeland Security in the U.S. House of Representatives, she brings a wealth of insider knowledge on policy, legislation, and government processes related to homeland and national security.
Prior to joining Command, Ms. Arangio served as Senior Counsel to the House Committee on Homeland Security. Ms. Arangio acted as an invaluable policy advisor to the Chairman and Subcommittee Chairmen on cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, aviation security, privacy, budget, appropriations, financial services issues, and national security programs (including the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act).
Ms. Arangio also worked on numerous pieces of legislation and was the lead counsel on the Committees signature cybersecurity bill, which was passed by Congress and signed into law by the President in December 2014. She led numerous industry stakeholder meetings during that bills development. Moreover, she led the Committees discussions with House Homeland Security Appropriations staff and managed the Committees annual budget hearing with the Secretary of DHS for six years.
During her eight year tenure on Capitol Hill, Ms. Arangio regularly liaised with Congressional leadership and White House staff and worked with industry, trade organizations, associations, and think tanks on legislative policy and regulatory matters. She also has regional expertise in the Middle East and Europe and traveled there extensively with the Committee.
Ms. Arangio previously served as a managing partner at McCabe, Flynn & Arangio LLP, a New York City-based boutique law firm focused on corporate and securities regulation. She represented financial services institutions in corporate, regulatory and compliance matters before the New York Stock Exchange and FINRA.
In addition, Ms. Arangio has experience in politics at both the local and national levels. Ms. Arangio has worked for multiple national political campaigns and served on the New York City-based staff for the 2004 Republican National Convention. She also ran for New York City Council in 2003, successfully winning the Republican Primary with 70% of the vote and receiving endorsements from Mayor Bloomberg, Mayor Giuliani, and several prominent New York City media publications.
Ms. Arangio received her JD cum laude from New York Law School and holds a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University. She has been admitted to practice law in New York and before the U.S. Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York. Ms. Arangio is also a skillful public speaker and has presented at panels and conferences for numerous organizations, including the American Bar Association, Homeland Security Law Institute, the Cargo Airline Association, and the American Association of Airline Executives.

So she is a connected New York City Republican and Senior Counsel to the Committee on Homeland Security in the House of Representatives from 2006, when the Democrats took over, to 2014, when the Republicans were in charge for six years.
She’ll get a professorship at some IV League law school or other.
