Hmmm. Sometimes when you're in the spotlight, you should keep your head down. So, pro abortion, anti prince harry fox and hounds, duck hunting, pheasant hunts etc.......

I sometimes wonder how and when, and why, abortion became such a sacrament to the left.

I wonder the same thing about homosexual marriage. Homosexual marriage has become such a liberal litmus test too. Good leftists and liberals must profess celebration of homosexual marriage.

Yet it wasn’t always that way. You can go back and see statements made as recently as ten years ago, in which leading Democrats said they believe marriage is a man and a woman. Any Democrat saying that today would be excommunicated, figuratively speaking.

I just wonder, who decides which issues become liberal causes. How did global warming become such a liberal cause celebre, for example? How did being so lenient with illegal aliens become a liberal cause celebre? How does this happen?
