Franken's first crime was not unwanted, serial groping of women. That's just what got him kicked out of office.

His first crime was what actually got him elected in the first place, voter fraud. By the democRATic machine allowing convicted felons to vote and then counting the votes five times until he had enough to win.

He didn't win that election. He stole it from Norm Coleman through voter fraud.

An investigation after the election found that almost 400 illegal felons voted in the states two largest counties, more than the slim 312 margin of victory for Franken.

Franken deserved a "raw deal" as you call it. Just desserts as far as I am concerned.

Looking at it from the angle, I agree with you. It is just deserts.

I thought he quit.

Is he camping out on the Senate floor or something?

He still does comedy, I see.

Whatever it was that he did before, both in movies and on SNL, it certainly wasn't comedy ...

The vulgar Franken is defined by his viewing our Constitution as 'a weird collection of bulls***'

>i>Conservatives do not reject judicial independence. We do reject judicial supmremacy unbound by the limited role given it.

The more things change...

By sheer coincidence, I am just beginning to read a book, which is probably considered boring in the extreme by the Gimmecrats, which threw this zinger at me...

In the preamble...

To Establish Justice...
"...This indeed is the first object of all good and rational forms of government...
"... if there are no tribunals of justice established to administer the laws with firmness and independence, and placed above the reach of the influence of rulers, or the denunciation of mobs, what security can any citizen have for his personal safety or for his public or private rights?"

The Book?
A familiar Exposition of the Constitution of the United States, Containing a Brief Commentary of every clause, explaining the true nature... ...for the use of School and General Readers, with Appendix."
Not to be confused with his Three Volume DETAILED Commentaries.

The author?
Joseph Story, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, published in 1833.

I winced when I was reminded of the nationwide (on TV) spectacle in nearby Sacramento, the Capital of California when the ball-less mayor had his meeting of the City Council brought to a halt by a young black thug jumping and sitting on the council's podium/desks, grabbing the microphone and bringing the public meeting to a halt for the night.

The BLACK thug was celebrated as a hero for weeks.

And the subject of the meeting?
JUSTICE!
