A report from Scientific American said there are problems this year for the species of shorebirds that each year descend on the Arctic to mate and raise chicks.
It’s because the reproduction happens during the summer, and because of extensive July snow this year, there’s been no summer.
The report said the frozen precipitation “sealed the birds off from food and nesting sites.”
“Without these key resources avian migrants to the region will not reproduce in 2018, experts say.”
The report elaborated that snowmelt usually allows shorebirds to begin nesting on eastern Greenland’s treeless tundra during the first half of June.
But Jeroen Reneerkens, an avian ecologist at the University of Groningen, said when he arrived there this year on June 14, he found a particular species of shorebirds absent.
“The tundra was 100 percent covered in snow, and it was a very deep layer,” he says, estimating an average depth of about one meter. “It was a big shock to see the place like that.”
That kind of development is why activists largely have stopped using the term global warming – which hasn’t been detected for two decades – to climate change.

2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.
3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet’
4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.
5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.
6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.
7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.
So I guess somehow we’re to blame for that too.

Birds are ‘smart’ - they KNOW when to be WHERE.
When I spot the first bluebird in spring, I KNOW most of the cold winter weather has passed. Bluebirds show up in February, March or early April depending upon the upcoming weather.

I know. The impression is left that the weather was a giant machine that pressed the same result on the same day every year. Now, the good old humans have thrown sand in the gears and the weather does not know what to do.
I have been telling people for years, when it is warmer somewhere (where people are complaining) you can bet your life it is cooler than usual somewhere else. So most of the states are right now having a “warmer” June-July, while the arctic is not seeing as warm as usual of a summer.
Weather and climate change, and nothing humans can do can get in the way of that change.

1. CO2 is not actually increasing.
2. Even if it is, the increase has no impact on the climate since there is no convincing evidence of warming.
3. Even if there is warming, it is due to natural causes.
4. Even if the warming cannot be explained by natural causes, the human impact is small, and the impact of continued greenhouse gas emissions will be minor.
5. Even if the current and future projected human effects on Earth's climate are not negligible, the changes are generally going to be good for us.
6. Whether or not the changes are going to be good for us, humans are very adept at adapting to changes; besides, it’s too late to do anything about it, and/or a technological fix is bound to come along when we really need it.

Earth’s climate changes - few would dispute that fact.
But, man has little (if anything) to do with that change (on a global scale).
How is sunspot activity doing?? The Russians have been actively predicting the potential onset of another “little ice age” due to reduced solar activity.
