Mueller team pushing for information on Roger Stone, WikiLeaks, sources say
ABC News ^ | 13 July 2018 | PIERRE THOMAS, ALI DUKAKIS ALLISON PECORIN

At least seven people associated with longtime Trump friend Roger Stone have been contacted by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to interviews with witnesses and others who say they've been contacted.

The contacts suggest Mueller appears to still be aggressively pursuing evidence that would tell him whether associates of president Trump colluded with Russia.

Mueller’s team appears increasingly focused on whether any associates of Trump knew that the Russian government had hacked emails from the DNC and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta and provided them to Wikileaks during the last presidential election, according to those sources.

A self-described “dirty trickster” in American politics, Stone has taken credit for persuading President Trump to get into politics. He initially served as an adviser to Trump’s 2016 campaign but left amid controversy in 2015. While Trump told the Washington Post at the time that he “terminated Roger Stone...because he no longer serves a useful function for my campaign," Stone told a different story, explaining on Twitter their falling out was about political messaging.

Stone has been under scrutiny in part because of statements in August of 2016 which political opponents allege suggested he knew that Wikileaks was going to leak damaging information on Clinton before it was released. Stone has been targeted because he communicated with Guccifer, the hacker the U.S. intelligence community believes broke into DNC computers, sources told ABC News.

The FBI spies on a Presidential candidate and it’s a dead story. Mueller seeks to destroy anyone who helped Trump and that’s a holy mission where is the Justice?

Absolutely. I am sure he already drawn up a warrant on Putin. Maybe he should get Trump to make a Citizen’s arrest in Helsinki.

The Russian government didn't hack the DNC server and Roger Stone likely knows it.

Anyone who still thinks Mueller wears a white hat at this point is smoking crack.

Shut. It. Down.

How many New York Times writers does it take to write an article like this, there is no new information that could not have been written 45 to 60 days ago, per my recollection, when news first broke of Mueller’s interest or re-interest in Rodger Stone?

How can Roger Stone be an advisor to Trump in 2016 and get fired in 2015?

Gotta milk this crap until the mid-terms.

GOP better wise up and do something huge before it is too late.

How about releasing all the FISA docs?

Etc. etc.

The “community organizer” is gaining on us. GOP behind 8 points in the polls.

All their eggs are in the mid-term basket while we play defense day after day.

Someone better turn this around or it’s over.

I think if your case is based on testimony from a crazy guy with Richard Nixon tattoed on his back and another holed up in an embassy in London, you don't have much of a case.

Read the article again. It refers to the Trump 2016 campaign, and says that Stone left the campaign in 2015. My English teacher would not have been pleased.

Read Mueller’s latest indictment of the supposed 12 GSU members

Sec. 44 - he accuses someone: “who was in regular contact with senior members of the presidential campaign of Donald J. Trump, “ of being in contact with Guccifer 2.0, and thus, the GSU.

So Mueller is setting the stage for more.

Will Stone be Mueller’s next indictment?

The name of the Mueller game is "Get Trump."

(HAT TIP Captain Compassion)

Seems Mueller indicted Rooskies without once appearing in court,
without once being questioned by the Mueller team or any grand jury.

As Alberta's Child insightfully opined: Let's also consider the possibility that the Russians indicted are not real people----
that Mueller made them up in an attempt to get out from the pressure he's under to "get Trump" from desperate Demorats.

Mueller indicted 12 Russians for hacking yesterday (said to be interfering in the 2016 election, to help Hillary win)....

But the events under indictment took place during the Obama Administration.

Why did the Obamatons keep it secret?

Even after it was reported that then-Pres Obama was informed by the FBI in Sept, before the 2016 Election?

What does Obummer know that we dont know?

INCONVENIENT FACTOID: The computers the Russians supposedly hacked are missing.

How can Mueller indict individuals when he has not even seen the Computers on which he based his indictment?

And BTW....where are the govt-issue WH computers Obama stole when he exited? That’ll tell us plenty.

Stone has been saying for weeks that Mueller has been after him, but he says that he has nothing to hide. Given the comment by Rosenstein yesterday, that no Americans knew that Guccifer and DCLeaks were really GRU agents and were not involved with the GRU activities. I’m sure that Stone would have been indicted if Mueller were able to do so, but it looks like he has no evidence.

Drip, drip, drip. Mueller and this “ongoing forever investigation” is just like a case of gonorrhea. Drip, drip, drip. At least the clap has a cure.

Same sources who have been whipping this dead attention-horse since 2017? Let me guess- Source 1 is Roger Stone and source 2 is Roger Stone’s boyfriend/sheep, whatever.

Roger Stone worked for Trump what, a month... maybe he was the original mole before the other campaigns shut down and the moles from those candidates’ campaigns joined Trump’s.
