When you have that kind of corruption at the top, there’s no telling how deep the rot has permeated. Usually politicians who complain about FBI leadership proclaim that they support and appreciate all the efforts of the rank-and-file agents in the field. I’m not so sure that support is justified. It’s an institutional problem and probably runs deep. It would take years to properly clean it up.

I totally agree. And unfortunately, Sessions, Wray, and Rosenstein have thus far demonstrated no ability to do the required purging of political hacks within the DOJ.
