Putin Calls Collusion ‘Utter Nonsense’ – Asks Reporter To Name A Single Fact To Prove It
Daily Caller ^ | 7/16/18 | Justin Caruso

Russian president Vladimir Putin called collusion between Trump and Russia “utter nonsense” during a joint press conference Monday.

WATCH:

(video at link)

“We should be guided by facts. Could you name a single fact that would definitively prove the collusion?” Putin asked a reporter who asked about collusion.

“It is utter nonsense. Just like the president recently mentioned. The public at large in the United States had a certain perceived opinion of the candidates during the campaign, but there is nothing particularly extraordinary about it,” he continued.

“That’s the usual thing. President Trump, when he was a candidate–he mentioned the need to restore the Russia-U.S. relationship, and it’s clear that certain parts of the American society felt sympathetic about it, and different people could express their sympathies in different ways, but isn’t that natural? Isn’t it natural to be sympathetic towards a person who is willing to restore the relationship with our country and who wants to work with us?”

All this reaction to the summit was predictable. How pathetic that everyone but Trump is afraid to deal with Russia.

Goes to show how corrupt our “media” has become when Putin puts his credibility against theirs and comes out on top.

It's not about "facts" it's about the seriousness of the accusation.

The media just wants to keep the idiot ball rolling on this as long as they can.

I don’t know that it was him. I was joking around as if he would be the guy to ask a question like that.

The only thing even close to this was when Reagan got stiffed at Reykjavik, and the media piled on.

Trump is just conducting normal business between nations.

This is so idiotic.

Don’t we have a bunch of NeoConservative Russia haters on Free Republic?

Where are they?

Many of us would like to see their take on current events.

No, they don’t give two spits about Russia.

They want to take down Trump, right here, right now...and they’re using Russia as the excuse for their civil war.

Remember...we’re the SMELLY ones...

Clever bastards, these Russians. Of course there was collusion between Russia and US political figures. There's no question about that. Only the collusion was between the traitorous Democrats and Russia. See my FR Home page for all the evidence you'll ever need or want.

I have heard that the hackers also tried to get into the republican’s servers.

Does anyone know if the republican’s servers were inspected by law enforcement or did they self analyze and document the varied attempts and the failure to compromise?

It is true that we and the USSR/Russia have had significant “relationship issues” over the past 100 years. Before that, we got along fine...and nothing except ideology and mental inertia has changed since then.

We are both continent-sized powers, rich in resources.

We are both overwhelmingly dominant in nuclear weapons and rocket science.

We are both largely white, largely Western, largely Christian
(and I say this as a Jew...of partially Russian heritage) nations.

We both share a very large, rich and resourceful potential enemy in China.

We both share a very numerous, dispersed, well-funded and uncompromising active enemy in radical/extreme Islam.

We both share an interest in mostly maintaining the status quo, and in helping each other to do so.

We both share an interest in a more prosperous Russia, one that would support and encourage a growing (rather than shrinking) population of its key ethnic group - Russia for obvious reasons, and us because it never hurts to have a new outlet for our goods and services, so long as they don’t enrich an active enemy.

Finally, we share an interest in reducing tensions between each other, so that we don’t ever get into a shooting war (which would almost certainly escalate to nukes very quickly).

For ALL of those reasons, we should be talking and finding ways to cooperate for our mutual interest. We converted our earliest enemy, England, into an ally. We converted the Germans and Japanese to allies. Now we need to convert Russian into an ally - something that I’m under no illusion about being easy or quick. It’ll take decades or longer, and there’ll be some downs as well as ups, but it is both possible and desireable for THIS country’s long term interest.
