Trump faces bipartisan criticism over press conference with Putin
Fox News ^ | July 16, 2018 | Brooke Singman

President Trump faced harsh bipartisan criticism back home for his Helsinki press conference with Vladimir Putin on Monday, as lawmakers claimed the U.S. president missed a chance to "stand up" to the Russian president on election meddling.

The U.S. president, for his part, called the summit with Putin "deeply productive." After Democrats for days called on him to nix the meeting in the wake of indictments against Russian officers for U.S. campaign hacking, Trump said he would "not make decisions on foreign policy in a futile effort to appease partisan critics."

He cited progress on a range of issues, and said it would be a "good thing" to get along with Russia.

However, the president angered members of both parties by saying both countries share blame for damaged relations and by not firmly standing by U.S. intelligence assessments that Russia meddled in the 2016 elections.

Trump said he has great confidence in the intelligence community, but Putin gave a "strong and powerful" denial. He said he doesn't "see any reason why" Russia would be behind election meddling.

"There is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine democracy here and around the world," House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., countered.

Others were less reserved in their response.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who has been out of Washington for months battling brain cancer, issued a blistering statement calling the performance “disgraceful.”

“President Trump proved not only unable, but unwilling to stand up to Putin. He and Putin seemed to be speaking from the same script as the president made a conscious choice to defend a tyrant against the fair questions of a free press, and to grant Putin an uncontested platform to spew propaganda and lies to the world,” McCain said

Lucky for Trump none of his supporters give a damn what “members of both parties” have to say.

McCain?!!!

McCain peddled that phony “pee dossier” to the FBI to help the Deep State criminals frame President Trump! And we are supposed to care what McCain thinks? McCain met with ISIS terrorists. McCain took money from God knows who. McCain is corrupt. So are Brennan, Hillary, and the media. All the bad actors who are freaking out.

Putin must have TREMENDOUS dirt on all of them.

“it just me or is what Russia supposedly did during the election not all that surprising, not all that interesting and not all that consequential?”

No you’re right. Rand Paul was just saying it’s normal to try and influence other nation’s elections - everyone does it - WE do it all the time.

Here is the “Deep State”. 1, the leftist 2. the leftist media 3. RINOS and 4. the GOPE. Now knowing that , what do you expect out of them in the greatest rebuke of them in history. Trump absolutely punched them in the face. The Deep State failed in it’s attempt to control Trump in Helsinki , They trotted out this horribly unsubstantiated Russia demonizing bs two days before Trump meets Putin and they were ignored, humiliated and rebuffed. They are furious. Where is the DNC server?— Where is it?? you can’t prove it was hacked without the embedded malware ON THE SERVER!!
Let me tell you what I see happening. We will see DOJ come out with “ Well, We ahhh We have the Server. ahhh we got it a few months ago” Well. ladies and gentlemen. That will NOT work. There is a little thing called “chain of Custody” and “spoilation of evidence” . The DNC refused access of the FBI to the server. They sent it off to “forensics” to a private contractor. That “spoils” the evidence and breaks the chain of custody. In other words, the malware could have been placed later!!, the IP of origin can easily be rigged. . That evidence is INADMISSABLE in every court room in America including a justice of the peace court room.
I have a theory on why the DNC refused access to the Server,( that was very strange ,to begin with) The emails revealing that they had rigged the nomination and screwed Bernie Sanders were downloaded on a thumb drive or external usb attached hard drive BY AN INSIDER!! ( probably a Sanders supporter) Then they were taken to Wikileaks where they were FIRST released 3 days before their rigged convention. this resulted in the firing of Wasserman Shultz. If it got out that they were sabotaged by democrats it would have exploded the party so they come out that Podesta was so stupid that he have his password “ password” out on some feeble phishing attempt. Nope. I aint buying it. If it was “Russia” then we can blame them for the election. Trump needs to come home and CRACK DOWN hard.

If Trump just wanted to repeat the obvious during his summit, he could’ve just brought along a recording (better yet, a best-of CD) of Obama’s super-stern warning To Russia to “cut it out”. Of course he would have to make sure that he didn’t mix it up with the recording of BHO sniveling to Putin’s butt-boy about waiting for the election results to discuss nuclear disarmament…

DJT is not one to make idle remarks simply for the effect, nor does he mince words. I’m sure the private discussions were more forthcoming & substantial.

The Chinese have interfered in our commerce, including corporate espionage. They have also stolen military secrets. During the Obama administration we spied on multiple allies, including Germany and England. If Russia wasn't trying to spy on us it would be shocking.

All this noise is them trying to bury the called [by Putin]bluff, to send over the “Mueller” team to investigate his fabled “12 Russian” indictments, Putin’s call for some evidence of Mueller’s claims of “collusion”, and the $400 Million dollar “donation” to the Hillary campaign.

These facts *have* to be buried by the left to survive.

POTUS should fire Rosenstein.

Should. Won't. I stopped reading the emails I receive from him until someone starts to pay for this nonsense. He isn't listening to the message of many on the Right, so why should I listen to his.

Putin should say he can’t comment on Russian election interference because it is under investigation.

Remember what Michael Caputo said about how the media and Dems keep the Russia/Trump story alive.

He explained that Daniel Jones quit his job with the Senate Committee not long ago to raise $50 million from 10 rich Democrats to finance more work on the Fusion GPS Russian dossier (the one the FBI used to get a FISA warrant and used to intimidate Trump) without anyone admitting until months after it was deployed that it was paid for by Hillary Clinton.

Caputo went on to explain that since then, Jones has been raising money to “confirm the unconfirmable” in order to keep the Trump-Russia story in the news cycle.

So how does this process work? Take the story from several weeks ago about Michael Cohen meeting with Russians in Prague. Where did this story come from? Well, Caputo says that Jones would have “tried to sell that to reporters, and they didn’t buy it because it doesn’t check out. So, to get a reporter to write up his line … he gave the documents to the Office of Special Counsel.”

As soon as the Special Counsel has the “evidence,” that gives the news outlets a news hook that they can use to publish it.
