Trump pushed his personal agenda, not the national interest, at Putin summit
CNBC "News" ^ | July 16, 2018 | John Harwood

Trump faces political and legal jeopardy from the Justice Department investigation of his 2016 campaign and Russia.

Against that backdrop, comments that Republican Sen. Ben Sasse called “bizarre” make sense: Trump spoke most emphatically in discrediting the Mueller investigation.

Former CIA Director John Brennan condemned Trump’s words as “nothing short of treasonous.” Others, in less provocative terms, joined in harsh denunciations.

President Trump’s stunning news conference with Vladimir Putin becomes understandable once you recognize that he was advancing his personal interests, not those of the United States.

Trump faces political and legal jeopardy from the Justice Department investigation of his 2016 campaign and Russia. His former campaign chief sits in jail. His former national security advisor has plead guilty to a felony and become a cooperating witness for special counsel Robert Mueller. Long dependent on Russian money in his businesses, Trump has balked at answering questions from prosecutors himself.

Against that backdrop, comments that Republican Sen. Ben Sasse called “bizarre” make sense. Trump spoke most emphatically in discrediting the Mueller investigation.

American intelligence agencies have concluded that Russia interfered in 2016 to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton. “I don’t see any reason why” Russia would have done so, Trump said, expressing confidence in Putin and noting the former KGB agent’s “extremely strong and powerful” denial.

President Trump’s personal agenda is the American peoples’ agenda. They’re one and the same.

The following shows that lefty Chris Wallace did several things that are big no-nos with foreign heads of state—especially a head of state who could start a large nuke exchange.

Putin Snaps as Fox’s Chris Wallace Confronts Him With Russia Indictment: ‘This is Utterly Ridiculous’
https://www.mediaite.com/online/putin-snaps-as-foxs-chris-wallace-confronts-him-with-russian-indictment-this-is-utterly-ridiculous/

Wallace wouldn’t have been allowed to get near Xi Jinping: leader of of the Clinton’s funding source. Imagine Wallace trying to get close enough to demand answers from the Ayatollah in person and hand him some papers or anything else.

Our commie political opposition is insane about its loss of control after more than 40 years of bipartisan subjugation of our populace. They’ll even start an untimel nuclear exchange to try to cause chaos and hope to somehow regain control. They’re control freaks: psychopaths. Despite their sponsorship of all wide broadcast media, they’re losing and hysterical.

Before Trump starts worrying about the Russian intelligence agencies meddling in our elections he needs to pay full attention to the spectacle of American intelligence agencies meddling in our elections. First things first.

I strongly support Trump and I did not see the news conference myself but I just don’t understand why Trump did not make at least the appearance of being firmer with Putin about the Russians indicted for tampering in the US election. I think he missed a real opportunity. It seems to reinforce the accusations of the Dems and the RINO Republicans that Trump is soft on Russia.

This is the same John Harwood who was an arrogant, insulting jerk as a moderator in one of the debates. That he had asked John Podesta to suggest questions for him to ask the Republican candidates might indicate just a hint of bias—which, of course, Harwood denies.

He should have been fired long ago.

Wasn’t Harwood found out to be colluding/coordinating campaign questions with the Clinton machine?

How many Russians use the internet? That is currently the only thing alleged. Should the President of the United States lecture Russia about using the internet?

What did Obama say to the Chinese after their numerous hacks? Did the media attack him for it? Did they demand he start a confrontation over it?

It’s now become clear that both Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin despise the lying, mean-spirited, hysterical American liberal media.

When Putin gets angry with members of the Russian media they’re often found lying dead in the middle of the street with bullet holes in their heads.

How much more disgusted with American reporters will Putin have to be before he starts fantasizing about leaving a few strategic plutonium capsules in the New York Times Editorial Board’s water cooler?
