Looks like they did and this was the answer. Just say no to Uber, where evidently the customer is deemed to be wrong without question.

My daughter says LYFT is better-—prefers it-—I have no idea why——I use neither.

I would think dumping people halfway through a trip would be considered endangerment. I would sue the company.
