Republican Lawmakers Rebuke Trump after Putin Press Conference
National Review ^ | July 16, 2018 | MAIREAD MCARDLE

Republican lawmakers were left shaking their heads after President Trump’s Monday’s press conference with Russian president Vladimir Putin, in which Trump declined to endorse the American intelligence community’s assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

Senator John McCain (R., Ariz.) called it “one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory” and a “tragic mistake” in a statement. “No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant,” McCain said. “The damage inflicted by President Trump’s naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is difficult to calculate.”

House speaker Paul Ryan also rebuked Trump, asserting that there is “no question” Russia attempted to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. “The president must appreciate that Russia is not our ally,” Ryan said. “There is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia, which remains hostile to our most basic values and ideals.”

Senator Jeff Flake, a frequent critic of the president, called the press conference “shameful” and said Trump “placed blame on the United States for Russian aggression.”

Another outspoken critic, Senator Bob Corker, said he does want America to have a good relationship with Russia but thinks Trump made the U.S. look “more like a pushover.”

Senator Lindsey Graham called the summit a “missed opportunity” to hold Russia responsible for trying to undermine U.S. elections.

Staunch Trump ally Orrin Hatch issued a statement unequivocally blaming Russia for election meddling.

“From the President on down, we must do everything in our power to protect our democracy by securing future elections from foreign influence and interference, regardless of what Vladimir Putin or any other Russian operative says,” the Utah senator said.

>>Present your evidence of Russian government interference in our election.<<

BINGO! You have stated here what every single Trump hater wants the entire electorate to completely overlook: INDICTMENTS ARE NOT CONVICTIONS, THEY ARE SIMPLY AND ONLY ACCUSATIONS. Moreover, indictments coming from Trump-hating Deep State DOJ/FBI apparatchiks like Mueller and Rosenstein have ZERO credibility.

Coincidentally, it is the same people who want the country overrun with fraudulently documented foreigners and muslims that want US to blindly accept whatever the “intelligence community” says, even though it has been proven they have been lying to US.

That is the question. We keep hearing the conclusion = Russia meddled, or Russia attempted to meddle, or Russia influenced the election outcome and that is why Trump won ... except we are never given proof about what of significance was done, when and who so its significance if any can prove the conclusion.

There are two intertwined Russia stories. One is that Russia caused Trump to win by interfering in the election, and that Trump colluded with Russia to win the election. Why did Mueller indict 12 Russians hours before the President was to meet with Putin? Why could it not have waited until after the trip...why did it have to be on that particular day? The purpose of these actions and intertwining these stories is for de-legitimizing Trump and/or his election, to get him out of office. Trump is actually fighting back against the government that is supposed to be working for him who was elected by the American people. This is sad, and dangerous. There is something wrong with our government and it is beyond being infested by people like Strzok - The President is not in control of an important parts of it, and Sessions was the wrong person for him to keep there. Once Session recused himself, he should have resigned.

Plenty more than Romney.

We absolutely MUST remove the Bush League Republicans from office and replace them with patriots.

We would not have needed Donald Trump to save US if they were on our side.

Flake, Corker, Hatch, Heller, Alexander, Graham, McCain, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Rubio, Tillis, Burr, Lankford, Gardner, Cornyn, Hyde-Smith, Collins, Sasse, Kennedy, Shelby, Ernst, Blunt, McConnell, Wicker, Portman, Isakson, Johnson, Toomey, Rounds, Capito, Thune, Gaines, Barasso and Enzi are all Bush League Republicans hell bent on making America into North Mexico.

Graham MUST be primaried.

He has said repeatedly he will keep working for amnesty until he is removed from office.

I sent this email to Fox & Friends this morning after trying to watch their now unwatchable show:

“Sick of your big mouth Brian Kilmeade, always knocking our President when you can grab an opportunity to do so, which is often. As a supporter of President Trump who isn’t a backstabber like you and Abbie are, in your not so subtle attempts to inject your know-it-all comments against our President when he knows a heck of a lot more than the two of you do about what Putin said to him and vice versa at the Summit meeting, you are such big disappointments. I truly do not appreciate your ignorant comments.

And you Abbie better learn to watch what you say as your father is the Ambassador to Russia appointed by the very President you choose to slam, or does your father feel the same way and has chosen you as a vehicle to convey to the public what he truly thinks? In which case, your father should promptly lose his job. President Trump should be much more careful not to hire nor consort with RINO’s who do not have his best interests at heart.

SIeve Doocy is the only one I trust on your morning show now, as Brian and his big mouth opinions are making it unwatchable. I can barely watch Fox News anymore, as it is being populated more and more by liberal mouthpieces (especially with the liberal weekend daytime staffing) and I now refuse to watch until the evening line-up appears. Nice going Murdoch brothers, you are ruining Fox news. I can hardly wait until the Sinclair brothers get a truly conservative point of view station going, so there is an alternative to you’re now exceedingly unwatchable channel. Conservatives have had no true representation via the MSM, not on any of the alphabet stations, and not on the cable stations MSNBC, CNN, and only on one half of FOX at best.

The MSM make me sick, and Brian Kilmeade and Abbie Huntsman are no real friends of the President. Calling Putin a lot of names, thus making the President’s negotiations with Putin all the more difficult and undermining his attempts to lessen tensions between two nuclear weapon owning superpowers is disgusting. You are increasingly trying to use your early morning show, a program you know the President often watches, as a bully pulpit to pontificate your moralistic viewpoints while undermining our President. Do you fancy yourself as some mini kingmaker now Brian? Do you suffer from men of small stature syndrome? The President doesn ‘t need Fox “friends” like you. You are ruining your morning show, you and Abbie, and you two turncoats are not worth listening to. I so look forward to a Sinclair station to offset FNC in the hopefully not too far future at which time I will drop FOX like a hot potato.

Sincerely, a lifelong 71 year old stuck for most of a lifetime in the lost cause Midwestern liberal state of IL woman, now retired to the southern state of FL, thank goodness. I can hear Brian droning on about Russia and knocking the President again right now, so time to turn FOX off and seek refuge on a conservative website. And I hope President Trump finally learns that loose cannon Newt Gingrich is at best a fair weather friend and cuts him off from his circle of advice givers toute de suite. Another turncoat. Watch it, Steve Doocy, your two colleagues are starting to rub off on you.”

Bravo! Great email.

I only watch Tucker or the 6 o’clock news if Mollie Hemingway is on the stupid All Stars Panel. I just watch Lou Dobbs now. FOX is destroying itself.

NR isn’t getting the war they wanted.

Still no story on the claim of $400M transferred from a Russian oligarch to the HRC campaign, using US intelligence as a conduit.

What really sucks is that just when you thought that we’ve gotten rid of nearly all of the fake conservative spit ballers, Mitt Romney runs for the Senate.

Mark my words, he will be the Fake News media’s first phone call whenever they need a “Republican” senator to trash the president.
