Smart guns - if someone knocks me down to steal it, they will steal my hand too.
No thanks.
Smart guns will require batteries.
I know how well my flashlights work if I don't use them for 6 months.
No thanks.
They will contain a computer.
When I have an intruder in the house, I will not have time to wait for it to boot up, ask for password and download a software update before I can use it.
No thanks.
There is already something to prevent cars from being stolen.
It's called keys. Does not seem to help much.
I have no reason to believe smart guns will be any more reliable.
No thanks.

Besides dirty fingers or dry fingers that never match the fingerprint. The sensors rarely work for me. A great counter measure would be an EMP device that whacks all the electronics moments before you intend to engage the parties with the "smart guns". Too bad. Don't bring a paperweight to a gun fight.
Got a call this afternoon from the local sheriff's office. My Idaho Enhanced CCW is approved. My wife was too. We'll zip down and pick up the approval forms, roll by the DMV for a photo shoot and leave with our upgraded CCW. We've had the basic one since 2000.
