Socialist Democrat candidate for Congress Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in New York’s 14th District is calling on left wing and open borders activists to “occupy” all United States airports, all borders in the U.S., and every office of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. In a panel discussion with Democracy Now!, Ocasio-Cortez called for an uprising against President Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy at the U.S.-Mexico border where all border crossers and illegal aliens are being criminally prosecuted.

It was that way past the late 80s.
I had to do a LOT of traveling from 1991 all the way to 2000 and, except for having my bags x-rayed I could walk into an airport and basically board my plane. For my CONUS flights I would arrive 1/2 hour before and for my OCONUS flights I would arrive no more than an hour. There were times when my work made me late and the folks on the ground would grab my carry on bag and toss it through the x-ray machine right away and I would thank them and run to get to the gate just before the aircraft backed out. They were all pretty decent people and I never caught flak for it.
The only reason I stopped my travels in 2000 was I started hating the flight attendants as they started acting like little dictators. Having to fly so much was getting aggravating from all the condescension from the attendants so I had my contracts changed to make someone else travel.
