I always have trouble controlling my anger when I hear of leftist demonstrators who block federal or state highways or interstates. The police just gently plead with them and an hour later sternly say they really mean it you have to go now.
Under Eisenhower the interstate highways built in the 1950s meant Defense Highway System and we all can drive on it unless there is a wartime need to connect cities for military vehicles,troops, soldiers and evacuation buses due to chemical warfare or nuclear or other attacks.

At times of relative peace, no one wants to deal with extreme problems that require going to war. So high crimes, treason, sedition, and crimes committed under the color of law continue to be tolerated.
