I agree with that. I know a couple from Israel are visiting for a month here, and she told me that American Jews are not real Jews for the most part, and she also told me that Hanukkah you do not give presents for those days every day , and it is an American thing. Very enlightening , and educational what they have told me.

The whole giving presents and making Hanukkah a sort of mini replica of Christmas is a relatively NEW thing in America; that “movement” ( away from actual Judaism ), began slowly in the 1950s; however, it really only gathered a great head of steam sometime in the ‘80s by NON-RELIGIOUS/Jews IN NAME ONLY Jews.
