“BOTH CHAPLIN and Trump are iconic clowns,” New Yorker cover artist Barry Blitt told Comic Riffs last year, when describing his political spoof of the silent comedian’s classic film “Modern Times.”
Once again, with the magazine’s latest cover unveiled Thursday, Blitt is rendering President Trump as a cartoon buffoon who is still stymied and embarrassed by moving parts.
For the new cover, titled “Thumbs-Up,” Blitt employs a visual callback to when the president-to-be descended a Trump Tower escalator during the event to announce his run for the White House.
In the wake of Monday’s controversial Helsinki summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Blitt’s visual metaphor depicts Trump as falling face-first at the bottom of the escalator — yet still giving the thumbs-up sign as if everything’s great, terrific, the most fantastic we’ve ever seen.

I’m pretty sure these juvenile characters think they are funny. All they are doing is making America hate them more.
On the upside, these constant attacks on Trump and constant news media reports on him have driven several of my husband’s NYC friends to suicide. That means more Republicans for us!
Ridicule and name calling while a powerful weapon and has been effective in the past against weak Republicans, President Trump has shown he is made of sterner stuff.
Members of the left are outing themselves. No longer may they claim to be “unbiased”. They provide the proof that it is a lie with each juvenile attack against the President.

and hes still the President....and he still reshaped the Courts for the next 30 years....and Clinton still lost....and the Obama “legacy” is still wiped out......
The only good one in all these decades was Moochelle and Obummer in Muslim and Black Panther garb in the White House, burning the Constitution in the fireplace.
I think the artist had some snapshots of real life to work from. Makes the final artwork more authenthic.

I thought the president's entire trip, including NATO, was a big success.
