He pretended to be a conservative in the vein of McCain. He did not run for reelection as the people of Arizona finally found out what he really is. He is McCain junior without the bombast until of recent.

Oddly McCain due to his tragic illness will never run again. In the vein of what happened to Jeff Flake, I do not think McCain would have won the Republican primary.
