Spitting? Isn’t that assault?
Yes it is.
If I'm not mistaken, spitting on another is considered assault with a deadly weapon in New York, and has been since AIDS and hepatitis became commonplace.
I believe there have been people charged with assault deadly when they spit on cops while being arrested and placed in custody.
It has to be an assault.
Only problem: black privilege.
You KNOW a white spitting in any accidental or purposeful way on a person of color would bring the highest prison sentence.
Someday, somewhere, somebody is going to say this double standard of justice has got to go and all people should be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. Including in court.
