We were almost freaks in our world raising children.
Almost always had family meal time.
Children’s friends were curious about it
Wife stayed home. I worked. We agreed on this.

Cookies or something good on the counter after school. House smelled like bakery.
Girlfriend of son said this must be what Mrs. Clever’s house must be like.
Married only to each other now going on 42 years, not all easy.
Children said we are dinosaurs as most of their friends were on at least second parent units or single parent.
All done now, we still have family dinner but just two of us now. Still have prayer and visit without tv or any thing else going.
We should walk more but sit on the porch and watch the day go to sleep.

Everything else sounds about the same.
Only difference is I bought a small farm and started my own orchard and produce gardens.
Don’t need to walk, work all day long at this, that, and the next thing, except Sundays.
Sunday is a day to give thanks and prayer.
Wife told me just the other day that’s one of the reasons she married me, “you know how to do things”, best compliment I will ever get in my whole life.
