BRANSON Eleven people, including at least one child, are dead after an amphibious duck boat capsized Thursday evening on Table Rock Lake.
At least seven other passengers were injured, including one in serious condition.
Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader updated the casualty information just after 11 p.m. Thursday. The Ride the Ducks tourist boat sank near the Showboat Branson Belle with a reported 31 people on board.
Rader said emergency personnel were still searching for at least five people.
CoxHealth said in a statement victims were being treated at Cox Branson. Spokeswoman Kaitlyn McConnell said the patients were a mix of adults and children. She said the hospital routinely practices for emergency events like this and Thursday night was an all-hands-on-deck situation.

Very horrific. I’m still in shock.
It was a little choppy when I rode last year. I had already considered a potential exit in the unlikely circumstance that was necessary but there were others I would have had to be concerned about, too.
When you drive up and down 76 and adjoining roads you see the Ducks inbound or outbound on nearly every road.
This was like a punch in the gut.
As I mentioned before, a tornado came up last year. I was staying on the Branson Landing but in a cheap hotel. I was ready to head for the covered parking farther down on the Landing. Just past the Branson Scenic Railway.
very sad. People have made ‘mother nature’ into their god and lost all proper respect for the elements.
When you get out of your comfort zone, it’s smart to be prepared
It rode much lower than the other DUKW, so my guess is that it’s bilge pump was not operational. Once it got full of water it was going down.
They have cheap hotels on the landing???? I didn’t see any of those when we were there. LOL

Above is a video of Mike Row (Dirty Jobs) talking about “Safety Third”. Skip to 2:50 on the video, that yes, with all of the regulations, OSHA, etc. that one doesn’t take care of themselves as they believe that everybody else is watching out for them.
Probably several cheap hotels there; just none of them inexpensive. LOL
