President Trump’s longtime lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, secretly recorded a conversation with Mr. Trump two months before the presidential election in which they discussed payments to a former Playboy model who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump, according to lawyers and others familiar with the recording.
The F.B.I. seized the recording this year during a raid on Mr. Cohen’s office. The Justice Department is investigating Mr. Cohen’s involvement in paying women to tamp down embarrassing news stories about Mr. Trump ahead of the 2016 election. Prosecutors want to know whether that violated federal campaign finance laws, and any conversation with Mr. Trump about those payments would be of keen interest to them.

If not, Trump’s former attorney could be headed to prison. He could lose his license to practice law.
As for Mueller being able to use them, I think Trump’s legal team could launch a serious challenge to the fraudulent nature of the support materials to obtain a subpoena.
A local court may stand behind the subpoena, but I seriously doubt the SCOTUS would.
Pay them to shut up. Or kill their cats and slash their tires. I’m sure Stormie would rather have been paid than having Hillary turn goons loose on her.

Linda Tripp wasn’t a lawyer in a relationship with the person she was recording. That would be a significant difference I would think.

Was Trump talking about selling Aborted Baby Parts in that Conversation too?

Was it in a State that requires both Parties being aware of the recording?
That’s not even getting into the Attorney Client Privilege aspect.
Do they have a Tape of Trump in a Confessional with a Priest too?
So who leaked this little piece of client lawyer privilege to the NYT?

Possibly. From what I understand if Trump had an expectation that the conversation was private and was not informed that there was even the possibility the conversation could be recorded then it’s a serious ethics violation, not to mention likely inadmissible in court.

That may or may not be true, but I don’t ever want to find out. That tape is privileged communication and if it sees the light of day somebody should hang.
That is a stretch. But they'll find a female judge in DC or NY to sign on. Of course, if this precedent is set then just about all the critters in congress on both sides need to be targeted for prosecution because you know they do this.
