Unless he said :out of campaign funds” there is nothing there.

As i understand it there is no allegation that Trump used campaign money for this. The dems (and Mueller) are suggesting that it would be a campaign violation because if Stormy Agreed to shut up, her silence would then represent an an-kind contribution that went unreported.

That is a stretch. But they'll find a female judge in DC or NY to sign on. Of course, if this precedent is set then just about all the critters in congress on both sides need to be targeted for prosecution because you know they do this.

If youre convicted of violating campaign finance laws you pay a small fine. You don’t go to prison and if you’re the president you don’t get kicked out of office. But the McDougal story is a non-starter. No money was exchanged. This is the democrats throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Trump because there’s no Russian collusion
