Saw that documentary. Listening to that one Marine vet put it in perspective for me when he said “The most lethal, the most aggressive weapon in history is a nineteen year old pissed off Marine’’.

I had forgotten that, yeah it made an impression on me too.

Once had a former Marine tell me the USMC had perfected the art of maintaining discipline while keeping every Marine on the razors edge of pissed off.

A cousin spent 30 years as a Marine.
He said every recruit dreaded the thought of being the one who let down the Legacy of the Corps.

I imagine they’re both right.
