It’s an interview with a black guy wearing a Malcolm X t-shirt talking about civil rights, black power, and racism.
It’s really about Rosanne trying to prove she isn’t racist. I guess it’s really important to her that people understand that.
I never really thought the statement was racist; just politically funny. Funny in a Rosanne kind of way though. Most people couldn’t get away with this kind of humor. Turns out in this hyper PC world; she couldn’t either. Black comedians, rappers, street gangs, and just everyday black people can use the N word day and night but white people are overly criticized for even the slightest perceptible deviation from approved white language. Sad. I’m guessing many are hyper sensitive to being compared to monkey’s too. Well, obviously, judging by the reaction to her joke.
Thanks for taking the time for that, Boomer.
Did have a peek at one of the links earlier and surmised the gist, but still think the barest hint of it up top would’ve been both considerate and in keeping with FR tradition.
Having been preaching against PC for 30+ years - back when many seemed clueless what you were on about - this beatdown of RB is just one of billions of examples of where it was all inevitably headed.
Anywho, as the likelihood of the insanity dissipating anytime soon is about nil, it’s some small comfort to be able to add something else to the short list of advantages of reaching this life’s twilight years . . .
