Howdy, radu! It was a good, if hot, day. The getting up early part sucked. LOL! We had 4 more than yesterday. We never have very many as we are a small congregation. But they enjoyed it and there’s one more day. In the morning.

Hope your day was good, too. Was it cooler? Did you get any rain? How were things at the museum?

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.

May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.

May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Sounds like a pretty good weekend all around. Got to spend time with your son, gonna play with the pups, got the mowing done, topped off with cooler temps.

We managed to dodge the bullet regarding storms last night. Whew! The areas that were hit got clobbered pretty hard.

It won’t be as hot as last week but will still be hot and humid the next week or more.

Did my stint at the museum today. And the big thrill was I saw the bottom of the crate!! LOL! Only one corner when I lifted a couple of uniforms but I did see it.
Feels like progress. :-)

I heard it was mighty hot down your way and going to get hotter. Bummer. I know y’all are tired of the scorching heat.

I hear ya on the getting up early part! LOL! We probably both have dragging tail feathers tonight. It didn’t help that a huge cluster of storms passed by several miles east of us but the clouds were so tall, I could see them light up with each lightning blast. And there were a LOT of them. It was like multiple strobe lights and was incredible to watch. I ran out to get a better view and finally force myself to come back in and go back to bed a little after 3:00.
It hurt when the alarm went off.

It wasn’t any cooler today and we didn’t get any rain. Had a good day at the museum and like I just told PRO, I saw a tiny bit of the bottom of the crate the uniforms are in. With luck, I’ll empty it next weekend. WOOHOO!

But there are at least four more of them in the shop building so I’m a looooooong way from finished.

Almost one down and at least four to go ..... that are already here from Tupelo. LOL! I don’t know if there are any more uniforms there or if all have been brought up here.

I did get some pix today but haven’t put them in Fotki yet. I’ll do that now. I know it’s getting late but they’ll be there for you to see in the morning. :-)

I don't know the actual military term used for these but I call them Chaplain kits. These two are displayed at the medical tent I posted a pic of last weekend.

Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.

Did the bad storms miss you? Hope they didn’t cause damage to anyone.

Hope you stayed cool at the museum and got finished with what was your goal for the day.

Hey there, Kathy.

Yes, the bad storms missed us but there was still quite a show as they went by to the east. I was up MUCH later than intended because I just HAD to go outside for a bit to watch the “show”. And what a show it was!

They did do quite a bit of damage to areas they hit. They showed trees down on the news tonight.

It was pretty toasty today but the fan I haul with me does a good job keeping me cool.
The uniforms I pulled out of the crate today weren’t too bad so I got a lot knocked out. With luck, I’ll empty the crate next weekend.

The cookie tin caught my eye in this display. Had to get a pic of that. I don't think I'd want to open any of those boxes though. LOL

And something to eat those "delightful" meals from.

LOL! I can’t believe you were up till. 3! I was up till 2...and yes, it hurt when that alarm went off. Now I have todo the same thing tonight. 7:30 rising in the morning. Ugh.

Then on Monday, another early one as we take Li’l Bit in for her surgery. I will DEF need a nap that afternoon!

Hope you got some cool lightning shots! Sorry it wasn’t any cooler there either. Hot weather sux! GREAT that you are seeing the bottom of at least one of the crates! At least shows progress!

I certainly didn’t intend to be up that late! LOL! I went to bed earlier but couldn’t go to sleep. Then I noticed flickering on the curtains and looked out to see what it was. Lightning!! And LOTS of it! But no bolts were visible. It just lit up the clouds. The fact there was so much of it is what had me running outside to get a wider view. It was a large mass of storms and they were all going to town.

You’re really gonna be hurtin’ by Monday afternoon. LOL! Three days in a row of early rising. OUCH!

The weather idiots have really blown the forecast lately. Yesterday they said we’d all be clobbered by storms but only some are as were. And they said we’d be cooler today and for the next several days. Now they say we’ll be hot after all. Who knows what they’ll say tomorrow?
Maybe they need to go back to weather school. :-)
