The answer why is easy: the leader of a socially conservative, Orthodox Christian European country that puts his people and country and church first, and fights against Poz. Of COURSE the liberal West hates him.

Putin is a KGB thug.
Who has embraced him? I don’t believe it, give us names.

Basically anyone who thinks we shouldn’t nuke Russia “embraces Putin”, to some.

I think Erdogan is much worse myself, and will be the bigger threat down the road.

I know he SAYS he’s a Christian, but then there’s that little problem of Russians who keep turning up dead from heart attacks, and accidentally beating the crap out of themselves during their fall to the floor, or nerve agents, little things like that, so....

I just find it odd that conservatives don’t have trouble with Trump seemingly cozying up to Putin. I see nothing wrong with assuring tensions and concerns are communicated between the two countries and their respective leaders. But Russia and the former Soviet Union have never had our best interests in their intentions. Far from it. And conservatives seem to have abandoned that position.

Why would they? And why should we have their best intentions in mind?

You think the Brits, the Germans and the French have our best interests in mind?

I’ve been in a US ship mixing it up with Ivan. We didn’t have their best interest on our mind and they weren’t there for ours. That’s in the 1970s. Nothing changed since or with DJT now. We are facing off with someone who wants to live. Not so with the Muslim insaniacs. Know the enemy. Treat each accordingly. The only thing that’s changed is it’s Russia. Not the USSR.

Although I suspect Sting is now in the “Nuke Russia” corner.

But Russia and the former Soviet Union have never had our best interests in their intentions. Far from it. And conservatives seem to have abandoned that position.

Since when?

Conservatives, since they tend to think instead of "feel" have realized that the entire liberal, Democrat, and deep state story about Russian collusion is just a cover story for Obama administration spying on the Republican presidential candidate.

Conservatives know that even if Russian hackers leaked the emails of John Podesta and other Democrats, all they did was put out the truth about what the Democrats really believed and what they were up to. When our media does investigations and reporting it is called revealing the truth, not "meddling in an election." Since when is reporting the truth about a candidate "meddling in an election"?

If, and that is a big if, the Russians actually were behind the leaks that let the public know what the Democrats were really up to, then they helped our nation regardless of what their intent was.

If the Clinton campaign operatives were thinking about, writing about, and doing the things leaders should be doing, their emails would have shown good leaders at work, and the public would have been more likely to vote for them. But instead we saw creepy, corrupt people fixated on public opinion polls and not doing what was right for our nation.

The conservatives that I know don't trust the Russians any more now than they ever did. But they trust the FBI, the CIA, and the whole cabal who got FISA warrants to spy on a presidential candidate even less than the Russians. The Russians are overseas, the leftist Democrats are here among us, and have corrupted some of the most important organizations in our government.

The US government has not acted a Christian nation since Ronald Reagan was president. Name one of the x-presidents since Reagan that did have the US best interests first and foremost. How did 'we the people' become a debtor nation? Putin/Russia did NOT spend US into a 21 trillion dollar debt. Putin is what he is, and he will naturally take advantage whenever possible. Our government has been no better.. 'We the people' hired a foreigner Muslim to rule over US for 8 years, even after he publicly stated his purpose was to transform this nation.

And you could parallel Trump’s remarks about our ‘wonderful’ Intelligence Community, with that of Ike when he talked about the “Military-Industrial Complex”.

Well, if Trump’s comments about the intelligence community were ‘traitorous’, well, then, so were Ike’s comments.

Which would you prefer, nuclear war? Isn’t it better to have cordial, peaceful relations with Russia?

Why should Russia have OUR best interests in their intentions? Naturally, their first loyalty is to Russia, just as our government’s loyalty is to the US.

Let me rephrase that: Our government’s loyalty SHOULD be to the US. Unfortunately, with the demonrats and the RINO’S, that is no longer the case.

The obsessive, irrational hate of Russia is childish, ignorant and counterproductive. Leftists hate Russia for two reasons: Russia dumped Communism and Russia doesn’t give homosexuals special rights and doesn’t allow homosexual propaganda.

IMO, there are other more immediate threats other than Russia. China, Erdogan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Mexico.

As I have posted several times, it is not Russia who is stealthily invading the U.S., but Mexico.

Mexico has been subtly waging war on the U.S. for several years while certain Americans are so obsessed with “Russia, Russia, RUSSIA!!!” that, before they go to bed every night, they probably look under their beds to see if Putin is hiding under there.
