Trying to find love in D.C. can be tricky. If you’re a young Trump administration staffer, it might be near impossible.
GOP employees and other right-wingers have been complaining that dating in one of the most Democratic cities in America is a political minefield.
They’ve been called out, flipped off and told they are personally responsible for the death of democracy.
One 29-year-old lobbyist told Fox News that learning to date in a Trump world is “absolutely insane.”
“It’s getting so bad,” the lobbyist, who asked to remain anonymous because she works with the administration, said.

DC is where the marshmallow majors gather. Why even think of dating there? Your “mate” will be someone who most probably has never experienced an intellectual challenge at home, at school and most certainly at work.

I used to tell my kids they could go ahead and date a democrat, but don’t ever marry one. All four of them married fairly conservative people.

I lived in DC as a younger person. The group think and strength of the progressive Left monoculture has only gotten worse.
Don’t compromise on marrying a progressive. They will only make you miserable later in life.
I think you should do what makes you happy.
I can’t imagine being married to someone so opposed to my political views. My husband and I spend our wakeup time- his coffee time, my tea time- reading news articles and sharing the latest. We would be in a war by 6am if we were not in political agreement!
It would be especially hard now because nearly every topic has been made political. You can’t even discuss the weather, global warming!
I dated an older liberal woman in college. We disagreed on political views 180 degrees but there was a strong sexual chemistry we couldn’t deny. After graduation we went our separate ways, like you realizing it would never work.
I have had a couple of liberal women who were drawn more to me than me to them who seemed to thrive on the fact I would call them on their leftist nonsense and would not hesitate to tell them they were wrong. One would have dated and married me in a heartbeat, still would. Her father was weak with her and she dominated him and does her husband. As a friend she tried to dominate me and I refused to kowtow and told her she was full of it. As a teenager she told her father to shut up and go to hell and told me quite proud of it and I said if I were your father and you told me that you would still be hunting your teeth once you managed to get up off your ass from being knocked on it. You don’t do that to your parents ever! She hated and loved that response I could tell. Liberals...
It is what God suggest for a long and a happy life. Throughout my children's young lives when I was in control, they heard get married, have sex in that order. I warned my two sons that if you have premarital sex and she should get pregnant, be prepared to marry and spend the rest of your life with that girl. If she has the baby and you don't marry, you will still be dealing with her for the rest of your life, hope you like her alot!
This statistic explains everything that is happening in our nation's capital. Leftists refuting to date conservatives is the best thing those leftists could possibly do to those conservatives.

Duh, that's what you're supposed to do. All of that went out the window as multiculturalism has been jammed down our necks; but those of us over 60 remember being socialized at dances and clubs from the age of 12 with kids of our own religion, not being allowed by our parents to date outside one's religion, or even in many cases outside one's Christian denomination. I remember my Jewish classmates being concerned over "Orthodox, Conservative or Reform", and some over "Litvak or Galician"?
Some of the parents even broke up BFF relationships when kids turned 12 or so, in fear that being that close to families of another religion would lead to dating outside one's own religion—and this was in the large metro area of DC, where there were huge Protestant and Catholic churches, lots of smaller evangelical churches, many synagogues, and a huge cathedral, a gigantic basilica, and a towering Mormon temple. (It was before the mosques went up, though.)
Back in the day, one's belief system and family traditions were regarded as the most important thing in a marriage. Marriage was not simply self-fulfillment; it was a rite of passage not only to adulthood but also to the only acceptable way to parenthood; most importantly to carrying forward a belief community that usually went back generations. All of that has been shot to hell by the cultural marxists.
