For me, the separation is now beyond “ politics”..I disrespect them on the basis of our complete difference of values...immigration, abortion,the history of our country,decent political dissent expression,and their lack of patriotism. We are now light years apart.
It’s more than “ we just have different opinions”.
Moreover, they REFUSE to have a polite political discussion.
When the calm debate could have a back and forth they abruptly end it with “ I don’t want to talk politics!”.
Simply put, I just dont like them anymore.
Sounds all too familiar.They don't know anything so they can't debate. Total brainwash or worse yet just following the leader.
There has been only one guy who would debate me for the last 20 yrs all others say “I don’t want to talk about this anymore.” My office was pretty much all libs so I would goad the guy and make him so mad that all the other libs wanted to shut him up
