Nothing like going to San Antonio on what is, on average, the hottest day of the year. I didn’t see a lot of window air conditioners in your picture.

No AC. We had big fans mounted in the windows.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t that hot in the dorms.

And since we drilled for hours everyday, as well as calisthenics, classwork, this and that, by the time we hit the rack we were exhausted and fell asleep like rocks.

It was hot when we drilled, that’s for sure. The worst day was when there were thunderstorms, so the TI made us wear blue rubber USAF full length raincoats. A couple of guys passed out so he relented and let us take them off.
