Putting aside that this was fake, apparently it is now racist to call someone a “terrorist”?!
You have to assume it’s fake until proven otherwise. The percentages we’ve seen are probably 90% fake.
Faster than you can say “Osama Bin Laden was a terrorist” I would have filed a defamation lawsuit against that restaurant.

That's my bet. After the first couple of these "zero tip" hoaxes, I made it my policy to write "CASH TIP" on the tip line.
In a just world it would soon be very much about the money he solicited via his fraudulent GoFundMe solicitation, and about criminal charges as well.
I guess he's at least smart enough to have learned from previous hoaxes not to name the customer. But I would also guess that writing "terrorist!" on the receipt himself was his undoing.

Whenever I hear about a customer scrawling a “racist” note on a restaurant receipt, the chances of it being a hoax are near 100%.
I usually tip with cash, but I actually write ‘cash’ in where the tip add on is on the receipt.
Or the service was terrible.
I often leave the tip in cash on the table. For some reason, waiters seem to prefer it that way.
Leaving a cash tip is preferable as they won’t have to report it......adding the tip on the bill is verifiable.
Maybe I’m just not paying attention, but does anyone here know of an instance where one of these racist, homophobic, or whatever victim groupist pranks has turned out to be genuine?

Customer plainly showed no tip was justified. I’m thinking water was not very good at his job. As it turns out we know he was not very honest either!!!
Yes, and according to Michael Berry, the customer in question did leave a tip on the card and this is verified on his credit card account. So the waiter used a copy to dummy entire thing and was confronted by boss. He didn’t just decide to come clean on his own account.
Yet another fake hate crime.
If they were as prevalent as liberals said, there would be no need for fake ones nor such attention when they occurred.
