When the false accusation first came out, it got headline attention at MSN.com for two days.
I hope the "banned" customer bankrupts the restaurant chain with a defamation lawsuit.

And nothing will happen to him, for obvious reasons.

He may find some justice in the courts. But where does he go to get his reputation back?

These hoaxes are becoming so numerous, people routinely say “that sounds like a hoax”, and are usually correct when they make the prediction.

How is “We don’t tip terrorist” racist? Seems to me that terrorists come in all colors.

If I had been falsely banned, I would demand a written apology, plus a free meal once a week for a year.

Faster than you can say “Osama Bin Laden was a terrorist” I would have filed a defamation lawsuit against that restaurant.

It was not about the money, Cavil said. Its about shedding a light on an issue I feel very passionately about. In a just world it would soon be very much about the money he solicited via his fraudulent GoFundMe solicitation, and about criminal charges as well.
I guess he's at least smart enough to have learned from previous hoaxes not to name the customer. But I would also guess that writing "terrorist!" on the receipt himself was his undoing.

Yet another fake hate crime.
If they were as prevalent as liberals said, there would be no need for fake ones nor such attention when they occurred.
