all they had to do to disabuse themselves of that notion was simply note the RCP election model in the last few weeks of the campaign; they would have seen Clinton projected to win 273 EV’s, down from 350 or so and dropping like the proverbial rock...another week or two and Trump would have been projected to win a narrow victory...
Even Nate Silver, in late October, showed Trump with about a 40% chance to win; way up from his midsummer projection of 11%, causing his normally fawning minions to swear and cuss at him...

Probably because I cut my cable and do not get exposed to the CNN, NBC, MSNBC, etc., nonsense. I also don't read any mainstream media newspapers or go to their websites.
I keep up with the news through curated social media feeds (this site being one of them), Breitbart, Twitter, Reddit, some FoxNews and maybe peek in on the Drudge Report a few times a day.
During my normal day, I see no hysteria. Nobody in the workplace is hysterical. Nobody out in the streets, at the shopping places, at the beaches, on the roads, etc., are in "hysteria."
I just don't see it.
So my prescription to the rest of you is to cut your cable. Today. Tune out the mainstream media. Your life will be much less stressful, I guarantee it.

It just occurred to me that the hysteria of the American progressives strongly resembles the actions of a jilted paramour. Historically, the progressive left has enjoyed the complete support of “Russia” (i.e. the Soviet Union). It appears that such is no longer the case, and the progressives are pitching a hissy-fit over it.

IMO < a person is either a Conservative in their belly or they are not.
I don’t know a single Conservative that could actually tolerate helping Hillary Clinton by the continual trashing of her only opponent.

I would agree. If one only has time for one book on this subject it is the one. In passing someone pointed out JFK and his acolyte's almost made a cottage industry out of hailing his heroic endeavors after navigating his torpedo boat into the path of a Japanese destroyer while Joe McCarthey who actually flew multiple combat missions as a Marine aviator was relentlessly mocked as ‘Tailgunner Joe’ for using his war time service as part of his campaign propaganda. McCarthey risked his life every time he flew a mission and not just from enemy action. The number of US and allied aircraft that just ‘failed to return’ in the Pacific are legion and some of their wrecks are still being found on mountainsides in Melanesia.
