Yes, you are correct, and it irritated the hell out of me, to the point I stopped listening for a long time.
Technically, Levin was never a Never Trumper, but he came mighty close to being one. In fact, he did more harm than good leading up to the Nov 2016 election.
Nowadays, he is one of Trump's staunchest defenders. Better late than never, I suppose.
