The Name Of The Game: Votes For Democrats
Townhall.com ^ | July 24, 2018 | Cal Thomas

San Francisco is permitting "undocumented immigrants," as political correctness demands we label them, to register to vote this November in local school board elections. Who doubts this is the first step by the left and Democrats toward full voting rights in state and eventually in federal elections? The claim by lawyers will be that it is discriminatory to allow undocumented immigrants to vote in local and state elections and not for members of Congress and for president. At bottom this is what the entire immigration debate is about.

The former head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was interviewed last week on Fox News. Thomas Homan had some important things to say about calls by the left to dismantle the agency.

"What's incredible," Homan said, "is these politicians, members of the legislature, would much rather abolish a law enforcement agency than fix the law. ... ICE is enforcing the laws they enacted."

That's because politicians, who often pass laws that exempt themselves, care more about their re-election than they do about having laws they passed enforced.

Homan responded to the narrative promoted by Democrats and the major media that the overwhelming number of people arrested by ICE are innocents seeking a better life in America:

"People want to ignore the data and the fact that ... 89 percent of everybody we arrested last year had a criminal history, either a criminal conviction or pending criminal charges," Homan said. "We are prioritizing against the criminals. And abolishing ICE, there are going to be (fewer) criminals locked up. Over 100,000 criminal aliens have been arrested this year walking the streets of this country. That wouldn't happen if ICE wasn't there."

About a recent anti-ICE protest in Oregon, Homan said: "I mean, to have protesters come and try to get in the middle of us doing our job, we had an office in Portland shut down for over a week. That means criminals weren't being arrested, child predators weren't being arrested, victims of child trafficking and sex trafficking weren't being rescued, drug traffickers weren't being arrested."

Sounds like good material for a Republican campaign ad.

The media and Democrats (and even some weak-kneed Republicans) have been focusing on children separated from their "parents," though there are questions about their actual relationships. About that, Homan said: "If anybody wants to look to who to blame about child separations on the border, Congress needs to look in the mirror. I went up to Capitol Hill, along with the head of CBP and CIS, and told them loopholes need to be fixed. One of the loopholes is the Flores Settlement agreement, which would allow us to detain families together in a dorm setting until they see a judge. But they failed to repair it. They failed to address it. They don't want to do their job. It's much easier pointing the fingers at law enforcement."

Here are some questions I would pose to the broadcast networks CNN and MSNBC: 1) Why have so few in the mainstream media spoken to Homan, and why aren't you overpaid journalists asking some of the questions he is asking? 2) Who are these demonstrators who show up at ICE offices, at the border with Mexico and in other places? How do they get there, and who pays for their signs, hotel rooms, transportation and food? Are any of them being paid? 3) Do they have jobs, and if they do, how do they get time off to demonstrate? How many bosses would allow that?

Not only is Congress failing to do its job, the major media are failing to do theirs. For Democrats, it's a perfect cover for their ultimate goal: importing votes.

This is exactly what will happen. Stay tuned. A few places around the country are setting up voting for illegals in local elections. The liberal notions of “equality” will see lawsuits over whether you can “discriminate” against non citizens voting in all elections. The lawsuits to come, will be a key test as to whether citizenship means anything anymore.

There is no such thing as “innocent” crossing of a border other than by authorized crossing points.

If done in large numbers, it is no longer a “refugee” situation, it is an invasion, and every nation has as some part of its legal code, a restriction on illegal border crossings.

It used to be, that on the border between the Soviet Union and Turkey, the Soviets would go on their side of the border (which had rather flimsy fencing), and plow the earth, leaving a surface on which footprints could be easily identified. Those intent on escaping the Soviet Union would walk backwards across this freshly plowed earth, giving the impression they were escaping Turkey to enter the Soviet Union.

Worked for a while, until the Russians finally caught on to how they were being pranked. Then they started building a better boundary fence, and manning it regularly.

This should go to the SCOTUS as soon as possible. The entire idea that illegal, foreign nationals have ANY rights under our Constitution is absurd. It has to stopped NOW.

I went to a Chinese New Year celebration last year in Syracuse, New York. It was held at a privately-owned Chinese "community center."

During the performances, a local politician, a state legislator, was given time to address the crowd. After a few pleasantries, she delivered her main message, which was this: in New York State, non-citizens can vote in local elections. She repeated this several times.

I don't understand how they can vote in local elections, but not vote in federal elections. Sometimes the local elections happen on the same day and in the same place as federal elections.

I suspect there is massive vote fraud going on because of this.

It’s probably part of a scam to get them into the system; then suddenly they’ll all be registered for federal election the day before the election. But nobody will speak of it.

Back when ‘Polish jokes’ were in vogue, one of the more memorable ones was...

Q
“How did the Germans invade Poland so easy in 1939”?
A
“They marched in backwards and EVERYONE thought they were leaving”.

Won’t get in any more ‘trouble’ for two .. SO here it is

Q
“Why won’t an Olympics be held in Poland”?
A
“Going by the standard of home country getting ‘1st shot’ at tickets, would mean that most everyone would be sitting behind a Pole”.

There needs to be all the legal push back we can muster to prevent this.

Citizens can vote, criminal invaders can not vote.

Yes, they break the law in crossing our borders and they are criminals.

There is a very important concept here.

Illegals absolutely are being rewarded for breaking our laws by being able to vote. That is the fact in this.

I demand equality. I am a citizen I demand to be treated at least as well as the illegals.

I demand the right to ignore any and all laws that I do not want to follow.

I strongly demand to be rewarded for violating the federal laws federal laws that I violate.

And as the illegal invaders have already done, I get to pick the federal laws that I get to ignore.

Sorry fed tax man, the illegals can pay for their own damn selves.

Citizens can vote, criminal invaders can not vote.
= = = = = = = = = = = = =

Perfect suit for Convicted Felons who cannot vote by law.

How come an illegal LAW BREAKER can vote while a homegrown citizen felon can’t.
One may understand(it is the law) WHY a felon can’t but what justifies an illegal being able to?

It’s obviously a first step towards officially and openly allowing non-citizens to vote. Some already do, with the tacit consent of the democrats.

The goal is to restore power to the democrats by seizing money from producers and giving it to parasites, and telling the parasites that they are justified in hating Whitey and killing him.

(A bit of hyperbole, but basically true)

I’d bet that a lot of them have been voting for years.

In Cali illegals already vote in national elections. One of OKeefe’s videos was interviews of election registrars who said they sign up illegals for local elections and tell them that they might as well vote the whole ballot since everyone gets the same ballot. So who’s gonna know?

The majority of the illegals will not actually vote. The dems just want the registrations and the bodies. The dem fraud machine will do the voting for them.

What would Devin Nunes’s chances of being elected if illegals plus legal aliens vote?

Do they even need the registrations? Every election we see Dems getting more votes than the number of registered voters.
