I used to fly a Hawker for an Amway distributor. Talk about sucking up Jet A for no reason..........Operating costs were about $3K per hour. His jet set days were brief. Lasted about 6 months. I think he was thinking of doing charters and all his operations would be a cost of sales. A tax dodge that never was.

There are (were) Amway distributors that could afford their own planes, much less a charter. The same is true for probably 10% of most of the other successful MLMs. Legal Shield, for instance. Don't judge a whole industry based on one anecdote.

I got “the talk” in the 70’s from a couple who were friends with my wife as they were returning from west Michigan.
