Well, this is just insane. The Denver Post decided to print a letter to the editor that pretty much suggested President Donald J. Trump be executed for treason. The insanity stems from the recent press conference President Trump had with Vladimir Putin, which was arguably not one of the best moments of the Trump White House. At the same time, any legitimate criticism was lost due to liberal hysteria and media overreach, namely this whack job theory that the president committed treason (via Free Beacon):
The Denver Post published a letter to the editor suggesting President Donald Trump should be executed for treason.
The letter criticized the president and Sen. Cory Gardner (R., Colo.) following Trump's summit with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland, and said Soviet spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, who passed atomic bomb secrets to Moscow, were executed for "far less."
The letter, written by Suzanne Gagnon of Lakewood, was in response to the paper's editorial last week, which gave tepid praise of Gardner. The editorial argued the Republican senator "deserves credit" for taking a tough stance against Russia and sponsoring legislation to add Russia to the state sponsor of terror list.

Gagnon then compared Trump to the Rosenbergs, who were tried and put to death for espionage in 1953. She said there are "many more actions" that should be taken against Trump.
"If it walks like a traitor, and talks like a traitor, and acts like a traitor … it is a traitor," Gagnon said. "Ethel and Julius Rosenberg were executed on a basis of far less evidence than is had on Trump and many in his administration."
This is a sour grapes argument. Trump won and Hillary lost, therefore, the punishment is death. It’s a window into the liberal view that everything is on the verge of collapse under Trump, when the economy has never been better. Where liberals erroneously see treason being committed, everyone else sees bigger paychecks, more economic opportunities, and low unemployment. In fact, unemployment is at near two decade low; black unemployment is at historic lows. The economy is booming, and while the president’s rhetoric might turn some people off, his polices at home and abroad are not radical.
The Denver Post replied to the Free Beacon, noting that this was not the intent of the writer, and that they would never run a letter suggesting that Trump be executed:
"We would never run a letter suggesting that the president of the United States be executed," said Megan Schrader, editor of the editorial pages. "Upon reviewing this letter, I don't think that was the letter writer's intent."
"She wrote to be critical of an editorial I wrote lauding Sen. Cory Gardner's efforts to impose sanctions on Russia and supportive of another editorial we had run that suggested actions Congress could take to respond to the Helsinki press conference," Schrader added.
Make up your own mind, I guess, but the whole treason aspect immediately meant this letter would be off the hinges.
They insinuated nothing, then condoned it by printing it.
I thought these people were against capital punishment.
Advocating open borders, abolition of ICE, and marginalizing real citizens in deference to foreigners is real treason.

Calling for an American President to be charged and convicted of treason should get the attention of the Secret Service.
Nobody’s been executed for treason in the US since the Civil War. Conviction today would probably get a ten-year sentence.
Espionage and other crimes are treated for more seriously and, because of the Constitution, easier to prove.
The last time I suggested in some forum or another that Barack Hussein Obama should be arrested by the military, lawfully convicted of treason, and then executed without delay, the leftist howler monkeys went bonkers. President Donald J. Trump, blessed be his name (I added that last bit just to send the leftists into insane paroxysms of hatred), is undeniably a patriot. Sure, he sometimes misspeaks and isn’t always immediately clear about his message, but none of us are perfect. His overall direction has been remarkably straightforward and astoundingly beneficial to the long-term survival of our beloved country.
BHO and Hitlery von Pantsuit, on the other hand, are lying sacks of fertilizer who have brazenly committed multiple felonies while openly boasting of hating America and decent Americans. I think we all know who needs to be abruptly terminated with extreme prejudice by military firing squads after being formally tried and convicted according to the laws of the United States.
I wonder how many on both sides, but especially on the left,bothered to watch the press conference in its entirety and/or read the transcript. I’m thinking very few who make these pronouncements did.
How is it a mistake? It’s a letter to the editor. Face it a lot of Dems believe that. And it got people all over the country talking about their paper.

Treason: President Trump is pretty far down the list after Obama, H. Clinton, W. Clinton, and J. Carter.
Sometimes this hyperbolic insanity makes me just laugh. Do the things they project upon President Trump any different from what I wish upon a leftist POS like Clinton? So they say he needs to die and we say she needs to die. Somebody is right. It usually takes a fight to stand behind those comments.
There are a lot of people in this country that deserve execution but the President is NOT one of them . Treason has become du jour in the American socialist Left . A high crime without a cost . No accountability for the Left
Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were in 1953. They got the electric chair.
So, what does she think should be done? Maybe she would execute Trump, then re-animate him like Frankenstein, execute him again and then repeat the entire process over and over until her vengeance-thirst was finally slaked.
Dems went to DEFCON 1 when Trump was elected, and stayed there.
