If the bill hits his desk, I hope Trump gives a national speech
then veto’s the dirty anti-American Bill.
It has always infuriated me that these bastards hide unrelated stuff inside of patriotic seeming (usually defense related) bills.
Things that would never pass on their own merits.
Things that would get them in trouble with their constituents back home if they voted for it in a 'stand alone' bill.
The stupid party should attach a Build-The-Wall clause in each bill proposed by the Dems.
This - the H-2B - is one of the ways the permanent illegal population has grown.
Once here on ANY visa, the expiration of the visa turns into a meaningless fact; the person just joins the rest who are here illegally, and does not leave.
Some continue to get work, illegally, in the work-area they had a visa for. Few do that forever as the illegal stay continues. And then, as the once legal then illegal “temporary” workers move on, the cry goes up again to raise the H-2B limits.
To me it is a 100% scam in that (1) it is not and cannot be policed enough amd (2) the polioicans and employers KNOW that and KNOW in the long run it adds to the illegal population.
One difference is that unlike a tourist or other temporary visa, temporary visas like the H-@B are sold to the public as providing legal work for someone “temporarily”, and because of that the public is being asked to give them more respect (as not as bad as) permanent immigration visas or other temporary visas. YET the temporary nature is ILLEGALLY discarded by so mnany, and everyone knows it.
If there were a set of “morals” for politics, I’d call the behavior of the pushers of the increases in H-2B as “immoral”.
Whoever is connected to this should be out of a job. This is the OPPOSITE of what this administration is trying to do.
If they want these workers, then train them, don’t import them.

Once upon a time before there was Trump, there was Cruz and the Cruz wanted all these STEM H1B’s and what not to be entering the American IT job market because well, because.
So I liked this Cruz fellow and defended the indefensible.
Then along came the Trump who kicked my fanny to cause my noggin to dislodge from down yonder orifice.
But appears we still have butts to kick in Congress, and for the same reason.

You are right. And so we on our side ask why INTENTIONALLY add nearly a quarter million more that no one will keep track of.

i stay away from brand name national advertisers as much as I can. My first choice is always generic/local. Then I am not funding open borders. And I am not funding the LEFT MEDIA CARTEL.
I think it is more the collaborationist party, at least Paul Ryan and most of those not in the Freedom Caucus.

I believe her starting salary was over 90K...plus benefits. Not bad for a 21 yo fresh out of college. Her work vis is renewable too.
