This will be a weekly post.

Anyone know if the Senate still plans to shorten their August recess in order to move through more confirmations?
I guess that went POOF.
The only things the Democrats do well is Resist, which is their campaign slogan, and Obstruct. Cryin Chuck Schumer has almost 400 great American people that are waiting forever to serve our Country! A total disgrace. Mitch M should not let them go home until all approved!

thank-you. a good reminder.
recess is coming up.. I am curious (I really don’t know how this works), can the POTUS make recess judicial appointments?
This is all McConnell’s fault. He could get rid of the Demoncrats ability to continue to debate until the conformation process stops but like Rayan he is a never Trumper in disguise.
This is the pulse of the Uniparty.
Yes, a president can make recess appointements. However, two things. The senate will not go into actual recess. They will have pro-forma sessions where the senate convenes for a few minutes then goes into recess again.
Secondly, recess appointments for judges are not a good idea, the commission would only be till the end of the Congress anyway. Much better to go through the process and get the lifetime tenure.
The problem is the number of senators. It’s 51-49 and McCain is selfishly and intentionally keeping his vote out of the senate to thwart conservative progress on judges or anything else. When he has finally resigned or dies, and a number of additional republicans are elected in November, more real progress can be made.
thanks for explaining this to me Cotton. I really appreciate it. :)
The Democrats, who are a minority party, know EXACTLY where the choke points are in the government.
The Senate, the Federal courts, and the Supreme Court.
This is why they were willing to libel and slander Roy Moore ceaselessly and without remorse to get that Senate seat.
The red jerseys of the Uniparty let this stuff happen.
