I’m for legalization, especially for personal growth and use. Unfortunately, the temptation for government to treat MJ as a huge new revenue source seems irresistable. The taxes are likely to be so high that they will encourage a substantial black market to undercut the legal stuff. That’s stupid policy.

Of my four acquaintances using personal marijuana, one (who did not go on oxygen) died—likely of other "substance-use". Of two that went on oxygen, one died last month. Another, who suffered a miscarriage, hasn't spoken to me since I showed the study connecting the two.

Opinions vary. I know people who enjoy it responsibly... at least compared to typical alcohol use/abuse.

But, my main point was that government greed will keep taxes on it so high that the black market won’t go away.
