It might actually be true, in the sense that Trump used Cohen to settle minor hassles. I wonder what the real leverage is that the DS has over Cohen. I've read (and Trump tweeted) that there were some hinky financial dealings involving NYC taxi medallions, which took a beating with the rise of ride-sharing. It must be something pretty good, and I think its very unlikely it has anything at all to do with Trump.
Cohen might be caught between the courts and some people he owes money to. And, after leaking the tapes, he'll never get any clients in the future, even assuming he isn't disbarred, or at least censured and suspended.
